We at EZ use a physical Dedicated Leased line, this provides the most reliable and secure method of connection possible.

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE WITH YOUR INTERNET AND OTHER COMPANIES ?

Many suppliers promise the earth to get you on board, we live up to our promises, we deliver our services to you with 100% commitment, and we reward customer loyalty with tangible discounts not just kind words or a card at Christmas.

WHY DONT YOU OFFER LINE OF SIGHT BROADBAND?

'Line of Sight' is basically that, if it's not clear enough to see through, you could have a problems achieving full performance, it is also less secure and can easily be tampered with.

WHICH CONNECTION SHOULD I BUY?

Ideally you should always assess what you need, ask yourself these three questions, what is the best speed for the money, how reliable will the connection be, is it easily tampered with. A physical Leased Line is always the winner.

WHATS THE FIBRE OPTIC WIRE THINGY?

Fiber Optic cabling is just another connection method, but instead of using a copper wire, it uses a continuous strange of glass, and as it allows light to pass through it (as glass does), it passes data much faster, at the speed of light, so to speak.

DO VoIP PHONES SLOW MY INTERNET?

Strangely, yes they should, the reason being is that you need your SIP Phones data to travel firstly, and your PC's Data afterwards, the reason being is that this method stops the voice on the phone being 'Choppy' or fragmented.

CAN I REDIRECT MY PHONE TO MY MOBILE?

When combined with unified communications or Web administered accounts, it may be possible to do this in one of two ways, re-direction of the call (out-going call is charged for), or via a widget on your mobile, so call is just like one from or to the phone at your office.

IS THERE A MAXIMUM BANDWIDTH USE PER MONTH?

No, all usage in terms of downloaded or uploaded is Un-monitored, so you can down or up load, as much as your line allows and not be charged any extra per month.

CAN I GET A FASTER LINE?

It's not really an issue of faster, it's really about having the minimum you need, all our lines have the ability to go faster than what you actually pay for, so yes if you want a faster link it is easily arranged.

DO YOU HAVE THE FIREWALL PROTECTION ON YOUR BROADBAND INTERNET?

The Internet Service Provider (ISP) will have a certain amount of Firewall (FW) protection built in, along with the FW on our routers, and combined with content filtering (for Virus's and virus traffic), we try and cover this issue.

CAN YOU 100% PROTECT MY PC FROM BUGS AND VIRUS PROBLEMS?

The basic answer is no, 100% is truly never achievable, due to users being able to download something directly on to the PC or plugging in a USB device, all you can reasonably do is filter out as much as possible, and implement adequate Virus protection on the end device or PC.

ONSITE SUPPORT... ARE YOU REALLY ONSITE ... OR HOURS AWAY ?

Yes, we have site engineers who are locally based within easy reach of the Birmingham area, so even if your have an immediate problem, we are minutes away, not like other suppliers based in London, Manchester, Cardiff or further.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY BROADBAND STOPS DOES IT STOP THE PHONES?

If the issue with the Internet is due to a physical fault and the Broadband is not working, then yes it could affect the phones as they need this method to connect, but it could equally be an issue with the Internet itself, and so the phones may not be affected.

DO I NEED A TV LICENCE?

Yes, strictly speaking all PC's and Laptops require a license, for they are capable of receiving TV broadcasts via the Internet, but as most of us have a TV license for the home, we are not obliged to purchase another, unless we don't have one at all in the first place.

WHAT UPGRADES ARE YOU PLANING?

The network will constantly be scrutinized for possible issues, as the network usage grows it is planned to have another leased line installed within 12 months, other upgrades may be included to cover our on-site servers and additional personnel.

DOES THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH ON MY PC COME IN ANY OTHER COLOUR?

Yes, BLACK, the 'Blue screen of death' is a general term for when the Microsoft Operating System freezes or hangs, but it can also appear to hang with a black screen, though generally if this happens it's because the whole machine is running so slowly or eventually crashes and either restarts, or has to be rebooted anyway.
But Microsoft in their ultimate wisdom have allowed the 'Black Screen' to persist and it could be doing an update of the Operating System in the background, so if you see the black screen, just leave it plugged in and switched on for around 8 hours or so and you will probably find it will clear and then reboot normally afterwards!
